New York City is the next leading center of commercial bioscience.
More than a dozen world-class research institutions, along with business leaders and the investment community, are partnering with the City and State of New York to promote the bioscience industry cluster in the NYC Metro Region. The centerpiece of the Bioscience Initiative is the development of a network of state-of-the-art facilities to accommodate commercial bioscience businesses and related research activities throughout New York City and the surrounding region.
The city’s first major bioscience office park, East River Science Park, is underway and will provide laboratory and office space for bioscience companies, beginning at the end of 2009. (East River Science Park)
